🔥 Substance, Not Wishful Thinking
Faith isn’t wishful thinking. It’s not daydreaming about a better life, or clinging to what-ifs, hoping circumstances bend in our favor.
Faith is substance.
Faith is evidence.
The writer of Hebrews put it this way:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).
Substance means foundation — something solid under your feet, not smoke in the air. Evidence means proof — not imagination, but assurance that what God has promised is already real in His hands, even if it hasn’t reached mine yet.
That’s why I don’t walk in anxiety, clinging, or begging. I walk in expectancy.
Not “if,” but “when.”
Not “maybe,” but “surely.”
Like Abraham, who “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). He didn’t know how or when — but he trusted who. And that’s the same posture I take: when a glimpse comes—a fenced yard, a place for my dog to run, stability where peace lives—I don’t treat it as fantasy, but as a foretaste of what’s already written.
I don’t need to force it or grasp at it. I know it’s coming. Because expectancy is not wishing — it’s resting in the One who has already written the story.
So I anticipate.
I wait with joy.
And when it arrives, it will feel like recognition, not surprise.

So may your faith be more than wishing—
may it be substance under your feet, evidence in your hands.
May you walk not in anxiety, but in expectancy.
Not “if,” but “when.”
Not “maybe,” but “surely.”
And when the promise comes,
may it feel not like surprise,
but like recognition—
the moment your heart says, “Yes, this is what He spoke all along.”

🔥 Sustancia, No Deseos Vanos
La fe no es un deseo vano. No es soñar despierto con una vida mejor, ni aferrarse a los “qué pasaría si”, esperando que las circunstancias se acomoden a nuestro favor.
La fe es sustancia.
La fe es evidencia.
El escritor de Hebreos lo dijo así:
“Es, pues, la fe la certeza de lo que se espera, la convicción de lo que no se ve” (Hebreos 11:1).
Sustancia significa fundamento — algo sólido bajo tus pies, no humo en el aire. Evidencia significa prueba — no imaginación, sino la seguridad de que lo que Dios ha prometido ya es real en Sus manos, aunque aún no haya llegado a las mías.
Por eso no camino en ansiedad, ni aferrándome, ni mendigando. Camino en expectativa.
No “si”, sino “cuando”.
No “tal vez”, sino “seguramente”.
Como Abraham, que “tampoco dudó, por incredulidad, de la promesa de Dios, sino que se fortaleció en fe, dando gloria a Dios” (Romanos 4:20). No sabía cómo ni cuándo — pero confió en quién. Y esa es la misma postura que yo tomo: cuando viene un destello —un patio cercado, un lugar donde mi perro pueda correr, estabilidad donde habite la paz— no lo trato como fantasía, sino como un anticipo de lo que ya está escrito.
No necesito forzarlo ni aferrarme. Sé que viene. Porque la expectativa no es un deseo vano — es descansar en Aquel que ya escribió la historia.
Así que anticipo.
Espero con gozo.
Y cuando llegue, se sentirá como reconocimiento, no como sorpresa.

Que tu fe sea más que un deseo vano—
que sea sustancia bajo tus pies, evidencia en tus manos.
Que camines no en ansiedad, sino en expectativa.
No “si”, sino “cuando”.
No “tal vez”, sino “seguramente”.
Y cuando la promesa llegue,
que no se sienta como sorpresa,
sino como reconocimiento—
el momento en que tu corazón diga: “Sí, esto es lo que Él habló desde el principio.”
